I am the type of person who squeals at the sight of a dog. Dogs make me happy. They are always excited to see you, always pawing for your attention, can instantly gage the type of person you are and never back-talk. They are more loyal than any human and are there for you when the going gets tough. Their soft fur can calm any nerves and their demeanor can push past most boundaries.
I was once told “stop loving animals, they are not companions.” After this insanely rude comment, I analyzed my life. I came to a full-stop and realized that I am at a healthy balance with my love for animals- primarily dogs.
My wonderful labradors (Tucker and Sawyer) have always been with me through tough times. They never leave my side when I am sick and sit with me when they sense I am unnerved. They know when I need a friend and when I need my space. I never have to overthink my actions or what I say, because they understand me without me having to say a word.
Dogs have been with us since Biblical times. I do not think there will be a shift anytime soon towards a dog-less society. I say keep up with the furry companionship and to he** with those who are anti-dog/animals.
More to come… xo
